Culture Cube - Senior Capstone

Culture Cube, my senior project, aimed to showcase all the skills we learned through our years of courses. The project challenged us to design materials of all forms of media for this one brand/company/idea that we create ourselves. We would brand our project with a logo and form and branding guide for us to use in the process. The challenging part was the time frame, the amount of materials that needed to be created, and bringing those creations to life for our senior showcase.

I created Culture Cube, a subscription box business that would bring the subscriber and box showcasing a different country each month. With this project, I wanted to dive into my Laotian heritage and learn more about my mother's experience living in Laos. As you will see, I designed the box, a coloring book with pages full of my own drawings, advertisements like billboards, magazine articles, and post cards, got my mom to share her favorite Laotian recipes in which I created recipe cards, sticker sheets, a tote bag, a video walk-through to inform the viewer what to expect when visiting their local Lao Buddhist Temple, and my favorite of all: I wrote a book sharing my mother's life story and how she escaped the Vietnam War.
